Mina
Mina lies east of Makkah between the city and Muzdalifah. During Hajj, pilgrims stay in its vast tent city and stone the Jamarat on the days of Tashreeq; outside Hajj it is quiet and you can drive through and see the Jamarat bridge and Masjid al-Khayf.
For first-time Hajj pilgrims, seeing Mina before the season helps you understand the distances between the tents, the Jamarat and Makkah.
