Madinah to Badr
Badr, south-west of Madinah, is where the first great battle of Islam took place in 2 AH, described in Surah Al-Imran and Surah al-Anfal. Visitors see the battlefield, the cemetery of the fourteen martyrs of Badr and Masjid al-Areesh.
It is around 150 km from Madinah, so a return trip with time at the site takes about half a day.
